Hello everyone! I'm sure you have missed me, right? I know it's been over 2 weeks. What can I say... I'm busy, and when I'm not busy, I'm just plain lazy. This weekend has been especially crazy! I had to go to job fairs and then we photographed a wedding reception. Today we ran around.
Well, Chris wants to use the computer, so I have to end this. I will try to post again soon... hopefully it will not be 2 weeks this time. Have a great week, a happy Valentine's Day, and party it up for Mardi Gras!!! WOO HOO!!!

It's Thursday again!
Well, it's been a while since I posted. It's been a busy week! I still have a million things to do, but today is my TV night! And tomorrow is Taco Night... YAY! I can't wait!
So I'm pretty excited... school districts are starting to post openings for elementary positions for next year. Watch out bitches... the jobs are mine! Chris seems to think they should offer me all of them so I can pick the best one. I like that idea!
Well, I gotta go! My show is coming on in a minute! Talk to you all this weekend when I have more time. MUAH!

Saturday is a Day Made in Heaven
Well, I survived another week! Sometimes I don't think I'm gonna make it, but I always do! I love Friday nights and Saturdays.... my "me time." Not much going on right now, but my hubby is at work and then going hiking this morning, so I thought I'd post something!
As you are all very aware, last night was the first of the weekly El Maguey Fridays! Good food... good friends... good grief I ate too much! The problem is that my favorite thing there is the ENDLESS, FREE chips and salsa. That presents a problem because I love them so much that I could just eat that and not order a meal, but they frown on that. So I always stuff myself with chips and salsa and then have to try to eat my dinner. Luckily I was starving last night! I barely ate any lunch yesterday, so it was okay! I just have to remember to do that every Friday! So then we headed to Target. I love Target! It's so much nicer than Wal-mart. The only problem is that they don't have a grocery store like Wal-mart does. Plus, my stepmom works at Wal-mart, so I kinda feel obligated to keep her employed. Plus, if I ever need to buy anything big, she has a discount card I can borrow. Technically, I could have my own, but since she only gets 2... she has one, and Dad has the other. BUMMER cuz I spend a lot there! So anyway... Yeah... Like Target much better. Plus, they have a Starbucks... BONUS!!!!
Today is our friends' daughter's birthday party. She turned 4 yesterday! We got her a Barbie wedding getaway car! BARBIE GETS EVERYTHING! I swear, I want to be Barbie! I mean, she's super skinny with big boobs and blonde hair, so yeah... no problem with guys! Then she's smart too... so she can have any job she wants! And how does she not have to wait 3 years to get a job because she has no experience? Oh yeah... those big boobs and blonde hair! Plus, she never gets older! I want to look like that after I'm like 60 years old. (Okay, so I know barbie has been around a long time, but I'm not exactly sure how long!) Next, she has mansions, cars, furniture, stores, and an endless wardrobe! Ken must make some damn good money... either that or she really works all those 100s of jobs she has! No wonder little girls all love Barbie... she is living the freakin American dream! She's got it all!
Enough about how barbie has everything and my life sucks... LOL! So cake... yeah! We are picking up the birthday cake for the party today. YUM! I'm looking forward to it! She's getting a chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery! That's like the best ice cream place EVER! I used to go a lot when they first opened (hence the reason I don't look like Barbie), but I haven't gone in like 4 or 5 months! Today will be a good day! Then I have to stop cuz the hubby and I are going all health nut on your asses! The diet is changing (except my Friday night El Maguey splurge night for making it through another week), and we're starting to workout. Actually, I'm gonna workout when I'm done with this. (I'm putting it off cuz I don't wanna!) I got Dance Dance Revolution for Christmas, so it has a workout mode. We are also gonna buy this video game called Yourself Fitness. My friend told me about it back over the summer, but I never did anything about it. Well, the hubby happened to stumble across it this week on a website, and thought it was a great idea, so we're gonna get it now. He read some article about some guy who changed his eating habits a little and then did 3 different video game workouts (including the 2 I just mentioned) 4 times a week for 30 minutes, and he lost like 20 pounds in 2 months. Some other girl did it and lost like 80 pounds from it. SO my goal is to be about 20 lbs. lighter and get a new cute outfit for my birthday... which is just a little over 2 months away! (2 months and 16 days to be exact!) I also wanna lose even more by the time we go on vacation... wanna buy a HOT swimsuit (not cute... that's what little kids get) for vacation and float trip! WISH ME LUCK!!!

ONE DAY TILL HAPPINESS
Well, it's finally here... Thursday night. I love Thursday nights for 3 main reasons. (God, I sound like one of those "power paragraphs" we had to write in elementary school.) The first reason is that I only have to work one more day before the weekend! I live for my weekends, so being so close is great. Plus, two of my students aren't going to be there tomorrow! YAY! The second reason is that Friday is jeans day! Nothing makes work more tolerable than being in your comfy jeans!
Now the biggest reason I love Thursdays nights... TV!!! This is my absolute favorite night of television! I watch Til' Death, The War at Home, and The O.C. (my favorite show!) It's kinda bittersweet right now because there are only 6 episodes left before the show is over for good... including tonight. I don't want it to end. :(
So tomorrow night... YAY! El Maguey Fridays begin! I love mexican food! I'm thinking the taco salad and LOTS of chips and salsa. Their Mexican rice is good too, but why pay for the extra food when you can eat the chips for free? Some mexican food, a margarita, and some friends will make the work stress go away quickly!
So who has big plans for the weekend? We have a few plans. Saturday morning the hubby is going hiking with a friend and his boys. Then we have our friends' daughter's birthday party. She's gonna be 4. WOO HOO! Then Sunday I'm going bridesmaids' dress shopping with my mom and her fiance's daughter. Then we're meeting all the boys for dinner. Exciting, huh?
Well, I guess I better get back to watching my shows! Everyone have a wonderful Friday and a super weekend! MUAH!

Tuesday Randomness
Howdy all! Well, the week is 2/5 of the way over... that's a plus! This month is going quickly, and it will be summer before we know it... YAY!
So tonight was an exciting night! American Idol is back for Season 6!!! The first few weeks are kinda boring when they are going through all the auditions, but I watch them anyway cuz there are some entertaining characters on there. I have actually seen 3 people I know on there in past seasons. In fact, one of them went to Hollywood, but unfortunately didn't make it to the semi-finals. I'm sure I'll be updating my predictions and favorites every week!
Well, we have some good news! My hubby and I have 2 people contacting us about photography. One is definitely not going to work, but the other might! We get a lot of people wanting more information, but very few result in work. It's so frustrating! When we get a lead, I get so excited, but then I never hear back from them after I send them information. I don't know what to do! I'm sure we lose a lot of work because we don't have a lot of wedding photography experience, but how do we get examples if we never get anything booked??? it's back to that experience question from last night! The world is a strange and mysterious place!
Well, I'm gonna hit the hay! I'm off tomorrow, so I will probably have better thoughts and a more upbeat attitude by then! LATER!

Monday, Monday
Well, it's here again... Monday! The day I spend all of Sunday dreading. Do you ever feel like you only really have Saturday off and you work all day Sunday trying to psych yourself into going back to work on Monday. Needless to say, I hate Mondays! I'm tired, crabby, and know I have to work the whole week before I get another weekend off. And to make today worse, I had to attend a staff meeting after I got off and didn't get home until 7:30! UGH!
So, on a more positive note, I have a kitty on the couch! Anyone who knows me knows that my two kitty cats are my life. They are like children to me. I spend most of my time at hoe online or playing with them. The big one, Ash, is a Russian Blue with only one eye. He's 2 and a half, and the most laid-back creature I've ever seen! Then Lucie, my little light gray tabby is a pistol. She's only about 10 months old, so she still gets in a lot of trouble. If you read this everyday, you will probably hear a lot about them!
So, my husband wants a new car or truck. You can read all about it in his blog (Random Ravings). The link is right here on my page. So the vehicle is the least of the things we want right now. First of all, I like our condo a lot better than our old apartment, but I really want a house. A two-story house with 4 bedrooms, 2 or 3 bath, a nice basement that we can fix up... lots of stuff. I also want a SUV, annual vacations, a $1000 wedding album (yes, we've been married a year and a half and still don't have an album), a pool, a dog, and all the equipment and stuff we want for his photography business. Not to mention... children! So as you can tell, we have champagne taste on a beer budget. Well, more like a water budget!!! The problem is that our order of importance is very different! I, personally, want the house and children more than anything, but he wants the truck and dog most. I am hoping the photography will take off and I will get a teaching position in a school district, so we can start making it happen!
Well, enough about my out-of-reach dreams! I'm gonna go get ready for bed here in my tiny little 2-bedroom condo! LATA!

My First Post
Well, here goes nothing... my first blog! I never really had the desire to write a blog before, but it has become very apparent that I must! I figured no one gave a shit what I was thinking... hell, half the time I don't even care, but my mind has changed. About 2 weeks ago, I started reading 2 of my friends' blogs. Even though I either don't understand what they're talking about or it's just random nonsense most of the time, I find myself intrigued and checking it daily! Then the inevitable happened... my husband started a blog on Thursday. Now I'm feeling left out that I'm not the only one ranting and raving about random crap that no one else really cares about. So I did it... I created a blog! Now you're all going to be addicted and want to know what is going on in my life day by day! I'm awesome and very interesting, so make sure you're checking out my thoughts and opinions on a regular basis.
Anyway... enough about the blog! Let's talk about ice! Yes, that horribly slippery crap hanging from all the trees outside. HOW STUPID IS THIS WEATHER?! I mean, Friday was the warmest morning we'd had in a week... then by 10am... BOOM... it's freezing and starts freezing before I even got off work. Luckily, Friday's ice did not seem to freeze to the roads, so we were still able to go to our friends' house last night for dinner and game night. By the way, did you know in Pictionary that anything you draw can be a penis? That's what I learned last night... anything can be a penis and my friend would have never guessed what anything was... LOL! I'm glad the ice didn't keep us in cuz I had a blast! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
Next... a more sombering topic... money! Why is it that it is so hard to come by and so easy to spend? And why is it that the more you have of it, the less likely you are to spend it? My job doesn't pay great, to say the least, but we manage. My husband makes okay money, but we can barely afford to rent a 2 bedroom condo and pay all our bills. What do poor people do? SERIOUSLY! And another thing... I have like 50,000 dollars in student loans, but I would have to work like 3 years to make that much! How do they expect people to pay back these outrageous loans when you get out of college and no one decent will hire you because you don't have experience? And how do you get experience if they won't hire you? I really don't understand this system, but I'm not rich, so I don't have a say in how he money thing works... TYPICAL! Oh, and we just started a business... that is a million dollar process! GEEZ! And we're not even renting a place... it's home-based.
Okay... moving on before I have a meltdown! Vacation... that's a fun topic! We are planning to take a vacation in June to Disneyworld! I'm so excited! I love theme parks, and HELLO... It's the happiest place on Earth!!! What I'd really like is to be able to stay a few days more to also go to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Busch Gardens, but that would cost another 500-800 dollars. UGH! Rollercoasters... that's what I'm looking forward to... and being off work. I am a thrill ride junkie! My husband isn't as into theme parks as I am, but he's a trooper and is great about doing things that make me happy. Plus, like I said before, it's better than being at work! LOVE YOU HONEY!
And while we're on that happy note, I'm going to say goodbye! I don't know when I will write again, as I am super exhausted during the week, but I promise it will be soon! TTFN!
